The Science Behind Mobile Learning:
Overloading your brain with too much information at once is a common study mistake. Research has shown that smaller, more frequent study sessions are the key to knowledge retention. In other words, taking short quizzes on the go is a much more effective means of exam preparation than reading page after page in a textbook. Apps offer the benefit of interaction, which means you’re far more likely to remember a concept you engage with rather than one you’ve only read about.

Take your NREMT® studies with you, no matter where life takes you.

Pros and cons of EMT Pocket Prep app for iPhone and iPad

EMT Pocket Prep app good for

This app is great! Its easy to use on-the-go and very helpful. The questions are similar to that of the national registry and has explanations if you get a question wrong. It also has reminders for studying and tracks how many days left until your test. Worth the purchase!
This app is perfect, Im totally new to being an EMT and this has helped me out a lot
I tried several apps but most of them would have the wrong answers. I was so happy to find pocket prep! I highly recommend it! I also loved the EMT question of the day! Thanks to pocket prep I have my EMT certification!!
I used this app along with my book to study my head off for my test after I failed it the first time and Im happy to say I PASSED MY TEST AN IM OFFICIALLY AN EMT
I finished my EMT class in December 2015. Went to take my NREMT exam closer to the end of January and failed. I looked around for other means of studying aside from the book and workbook. Somewhere along the line a came across this app and I immediately liked it. The questions it generates are as close to the NREMT exam as it gets. I did iterations of 10 throughout the day. So by the end of the day it didnt even feel like I did 70 questions. The ones I got wrong I wrote the explanation down in a notebook and that was my studying material. I really think this app was the reason I passed my exam. I did so many questions on this app by the time I took my exam I was more than ready. Just remember ABC.
I failed this test twice before, spent $100s of dollars on review courses and websites promising Id pass but Im so happy to say I finally passed and it was through studying vocabulary and this website. So thank you.

Some bad moments

I studied this app constantly, got good tests scores towards the end, yet when I took the actual NREMT test, nothing was even remotely similar to what Ive encountered in this app. I feel as though Ive waisted money and several weeks of valuable time (both of which I couldve better applied elsewhere) on this app that did nothing to serve its supposed purpose.
Im going to start out and say this should point you towards the right path to success, I had to take my NREMT B, 2 times to pass. I failed the first test studying only on this program. But that could have been a lack of my knowledge. So for my second test I reread the book a week prior to my exam, and highlighted anything that was important, I took notes, and every time vitals came up I wrote those down to remember for different age groups, I also had friends and family quiz me from right out of my book. About a month prior to taking my second exam I also purchased EMTprep online for about $34 this I spent countless hours on, that helped me more then this emt app. So if your asking should I invest in this app, I would say "no" this is a career field, its like working out... you need that to be in shape to help a patient or fight fire, so do the right thing and spend your time and money on EMTprep online and pass your first time. Good luck all you future EMTs!
Be careful .. this app has incorrect answers. I cross referenced with the Pearson text (Brady) to confirm.
Worth the money. Used it everyday. Passed the test the first time though.
I failed my test first time I took it. And with a new job I didnt really have time to sit and study so I knew I needed help. I looked up apps and read the ratings. I got this one and a few others. Upgraded all of them but this one helped me the most. I just put a timer for everyday to study for one hour. Gave myself another month to take it. And happy to say I passed the second time I took the NREMT especially since I just finished my background for a certain FD.
This is a great app! I passed my national registry test my first attempt! I looked at approximately 1500 questions in 4 days and passed the test. It is very helpful! Great app!
